NAME: Heather Nicole Schreiner AGE: 25 HOME TOWN: Laurel, MT

I got introduced into the industry of grooming when I was 14 years old. At that time, I was not able to work yet in that location I was hanging out around. Two years later I was working for a gal just bathing the dogs, slowly that turned into prepping the dogs for the bathe by doing the necessary pre-clipping that needed to be accomplished, i.e.: clipping/bushing out matts and knots, clipping toe nails. Few years went by, and I tried different careers, and nothing fit for me. I then went back to K-9 Cottage Grooming and talked to the owner and asked if I could come back to work for 5er and she said that she no longer was having employees as now she was a sol-proprietor. She then gave me the option to work out of her location as not a coworker but as a booth renter. She had faith in me that I had the ability to create my own clientele and start my own business. So that is just what I did, she gave me a few of her extra tools she had on hand and I started sharing the word with friends and family. I never did go to school for grooming it was all on the job learning. I ended up growing a decent size clientele over 5 years of running my business known as Heather’s K9 Grooming. During them 5 years of business things went up and down making it very difficult for me to live on my own not knowing day by day of what my income would be it began to get overwhelming. A very difficult decision to close my doors after 5 years and letting go of around 250 clients that I gained a bond with. I love what I do, and I love to try and get to know every client and what they like their fury loved one to look like, I want nothing more than to make my customer happy. My clients made my business the size it was by telling loved ones and friends about me. I have had less than 3 complaints in the 8 years of my service of grooming. And I plan to only keep it at 3.  I hope that if there is ever anything you don’t like with the performance I have completed on your fury loved one that you will tell me, as if I do not know I cannot correct the issue and make your pet the pet you picture in your mind. With every visit, I hope you leave happy and satisfied with my accomplishment with your pet. I joined the Beartooth Veterinary Services team on February 1st, 2017, this place is a phenomenal location that I like to call home. As long as I can keep up a clientele I will never leave here. So please tell your friends and family and I look forward to meeting you and your fury loved one
